At Eisai, we give our first thoughts to patients and their families and helping to increase the benefits health care provides. We call it human health care (hhc). We are committed to providing innovative approaches that help those patients with the greatest unmet medical needs and contributing to the health and well-being of people worldwide.
Magnolia Paws for Compassion is a special program, created by Eisai Inc., which seeks to increase access to animal assistance and raise awareness of the many benefits that interaction with animals can provide to those coping with illness, such as epilepsy. In partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation and 4 Paws for Ability, we highlight the support that animal assistance – specifically through a service dog – can provide families affected by epilepsy or seizure disorders.
Meet Sophia and Susan and learn about how Fresca, their service dog from 4 Paws for Ability, has changed their lives.
“As part of our human health care mission, Eisai proudly supports the
Epilepsy Foundation’s Walk to END EPILEPSY,” said Chuck Sabino, Vice President of Marketing at Eisai Inc.
“We are deeply committed to patients and their families and the walk is a tremendous opportunity to celebrate
this dedicated community.”
One of our key therapeutic areas of focus is epilepsy. We are dedicated to keeping people with epilepsy and their families at the forefront of all that we do. We are driven not only to advancing epilepsy treatment but to Advancing Epilepsy Care by offering treatments and meaningful resources to patients and their families. We strive to help them cope with the difficulties associated with such conditions as partial onset seizures, which account for 60% of all seizures, Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures, one of the most common and severe forms of generalized seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gaustaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of early childhood-onset epilepsy.
As a company dedicated to Advancing Epilepsy Care for patients and caregivers, Eisai is committed to helping provide educational and practical resources in an effort to help meet the needs of the epilepsy community.
