FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the Shark Tank categories?

A: The money will be provided as either a grant prize or an investment prize.

a.) Community grant award: an important product or technology to help people with epilepsy that is not on a commercialization pathway. Applicants that are not associated with companies may apply as long as they have a prototype of their product.
b.) Investment: a promising new product, technology or therapy to help people with epilepsy.  Applicants must have an established business entity to be eligible and must have a prototype of their product(s).  The investment will be handled through the NeuroImpact Fund via SAFE agreement and accompanying side letter.

Q: What are the selection criteria?

A: We select our finalists based on the uniqueness of the solution proposed, the potential for transformative impact, and the likelihood that the solution could get to market in a timeframe that matters.

Q: If selected as a finalist, what should I expect?

A: After we select our five finalists, we provide pitch coaching sessions prior to the big event. Please click HERE to view an example shark tank event to see what the actual event looks like.
