What started as a neighborhood lemonade stand has grown into a global movement to raise funds and awareness for those living with the challenges of epilepsy. Every summer, participants from around the world host lemonade stands in their own communities and prove that every dollar can make an impact.
Olivia (Livy) Scheinman, the inspiration behind Lemonade for Livy, had her first seizure only hours after birth. Since then, the Scheinman family’s journey has been filled with medications, surgeries, questions, and, of course, relentlessly advocating for Livy.
Livy and her family are not alone. The epilepsies affect 65 million people around the world, including the 3.4 million who live in the U.S. 1 in 26 people in the U.S. will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime. Epilepsy doesn’t discriminate. If you have a brain, you could have a seizure.
Join the movement by making a stand for yourself, a loved one, or anyone living with the challenges of epilepsy. It’s as easy as making lemonade!
